I'm not sure why this was in my collection, but I decided to read it before donating it. Jonathan has an elderly neighbor named Mrs. Byrne. They become friends and work in her garden together. Her dog Penny loves his attention.
They talk about new life after death, comparing the garden in the spring to resurrection. Since the author is a Maryknoll nun, I think this may have been given to me by my aunt, Sister Marian, when my boys were little. I don't think I ever read it to them . . . and now I'll donate it so someone else can read it.
